Straightforward Dumpster Rental for Any Project

In Edmonton, “dumpster” and “bin” mean the same thing — a roll-off container you fill and we haul away. Whatever you call it, we keep it simple: we deliver to your driveway or job site, you load it on your schedule, and we take it away when you’re done. Same-day delivery is usually available, booking is 100% online, and the price you see by your address is the price you pay.

Our dumpsters are commonly rented for:

Home renovations and demolition

Roofing tear-offs

New builds and construction sites

Garage, basement and whole-home cleanouts

Moving, downsizing and estate cleanouts

Storm and flood cleanup

Walk-in Bins for Easier Loading

Our dumpsters are walk-in — the door swings open so you can wheel heavy debris straight in at ground level instead of lifting it over the wall. It saves your back on a demo or cleanout, and it’s something customers mention in our reviews.

Dumpster Sizes & Pricing

Every rental includes one tonne (1T) of weight and a driveway-friendly, walk-in design.
Prices are all-in — the only extras are delivery (shown upfront by your address at checkout)
and any options you choose.

📏 Bin Size 24 Hours 3 Days 7 Days Longer Term
12 Yard $274 $284 $314 7-day rate + $10/day
16 Yard $314 $324 $354 7-day rate + $10/day
20 Yard $344 $354 $384 7-day rate + $10/day
Weight
1 tonne is included; extra weight is billed only for what you actually use, at $89/tonne (measured to 0.01T). Bins hold up to about 4 tonnes.
Rental length
24 hours to 30 days — keep it as long as the project runs.
Swaps
Need it emptied and returned mid-project? Swaps are priced at the 24-hour rate, and we prioritize fast turnarounds.
Stack multiple bins on one site
Our bins nest (a 12 fits in a 16, a 16 in a 20), so for larger jobs we can deliver several at once and set them exactly where you need them.
Driveway protection pads — $20
Optional at checkout. We’re one of the only companies in the area to offer them.
Bin lids (any size) — $40
An optional lid keeps your bin covered between loads. It’s cheap protection against a few common job-site headaches: rain and snow soaking in and adding weight to your final bill, people tossing their own garbage (or a bulky mattress) into your bin on your dime, scavengers picking through or emptying it, and lightweight debris blowing out in the wind. On a multi-day project — especially over a weekend or in wet weather — a lid pays for itself.

What can go in the dumpster?

Almost anything from a renovation, construction, roofing or cleanout job: drywall, lumber, flooring, shingles, siding, furniture, appliances and general debris. The only things we can’t take are paint and paint cans, any liquids, gas or propane, and hazardous materials (e.g. asbestos).

Two heavy materials get their own dedicated bins (too heavy for a standard dumpster): clean concrete/masonry ($375 flat, up to 4 yards) and clean dirt/sod ($400 flat, up to 4 yards).

Not sure about a material? Call before you load — quick question, saves a hassle.

Know your full cost before the job starts

Contractors and homeowners both hate a surprise line item. With BinWise there isn’t one: you book online, enter the job-site address, and see your exact all-in cost — delivery included — before you pay. That makes it easy to quote a job or set a budget without phoning around.
Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park and Spruce Grove include free delivery; anywhere else, the delivery cost is shown clearly from the address, never tacked on afterward. No “call for pricing,” no mystery outlying-town surcharge.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does dumpster rental cost in Edmonton?

Our dumpsters start at $274 for a 12-yard (24 hours, one tonne of weight included). A 16-yard is $314 and a 20-yard is $344 at the 24-hour rate, with 3-day, 7-day and up-to-30-day options. Delivery is shown upfront by your address, so the price you see is all-in — no hidden fees.

What size dumpster do I need?

A 12-yard suits small renos and single-room cleanouts; 16 and 20-yard handle whole-home renovations, new builds and big cleanouts. Because our bins stack, we can also drop multiple on a larger site. Tell us the project and we’ll size it.

Is a dumpster the same as a bin?

Yes — in Edmonton the words are used interchangeably. Both mean the same roll-off container we deliver, you fill, and we haul away. You’ll see “bin” and “dumpster” used for the exact same product.

What can’t go in the dumpster?

Paint and paint cans, any liquids, gas or propane, and hazardous materials like asbestos. Clean concrete and clean dirt/sod are fine but need their own dedicated bins because of their weight. Everything else from a typical reno, roof or cleanout is good to go.

Do you offer same-day delivery and swaps?

We aim for same-day delivery and hit it most of the time (less likely on late bookings or busy days — Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays fill up fastest). Mid-project swaps are easy and priced at the 24-hour rate, and we prioritize fast turnarounds so your job keeps moving.

Should I add a lid?

It’s worth it on any multi-day job, especially over a weekend or in wet weather. For $40, a lid keeps rain and snow out (so you’re not paying for water weight), stops people from dumping their own garbage in your bin, and keeps scavengers and wind out of the load. For a same-day fill-and-haul, you likely don’t need one.
